As long as it doesn't overheat and gets tangled with the speedo...

Cavaliers are known for wonky fuel level senders and gauges aren't they?

GM something. They are known for stepper motor issues. :(
Do you get infinity mpg?
If you have a live scan tool (aeroforce gauge or the like) the fuel tank level is one of the things you can read from the OBDII port.
The sending unit failed dramatically while I was offroading my old suburban... never got around to fixing it, just filled up every 250 miles. (easy odometer number to remember) I think I drove it for 6 or 7 years with no gauge...

GM something indeed. GM J body Cavalier.
I reset my trip counter when I get gas, and usually fill up every 300 km or so (187 miles) If I have driven on the highway a lot, I will go 400 km. This has been going on for quite a while, I just thought I would share.
